Aviation services are provided by Air Methods Corporation, QMLA253U. Air Methods Corporation is Care Flight’s aviation vendor and provides Care flight with pilots and mechanics. Pilots come to Care Flight with experience in both mountain and night time flying. They go through extensive training not only with Air Methods but also after coming to Care Flight. Area familiarization is a key point in the Care Flight orientation along with night vision goggle (NVG) flying. The pilots are required to have annual training and check rides with fundamental procedures and recertification in their NVG training.

Care Flight mechanics have extensive experience with helicopters and specifically with our AS350 B3. The mechanics are Airframe and Powerplant certified. They maintain the Care Flight helicopters with the utmost diligence. They perform daily inspections and conform to all FAA, NTSB and Air Methods guidelines. Any unscheduled maintenance is completed as efficiently as possible to minimize out of service time. All components are inspected, overhauled, or replaced based on specified time limits. Safety has always been one of Care Flight's greatest concerns.
